President - Candace Carlson
Candace is excited to be leading OHWDA this year as it's President. She is a life-long horsewoman and loves the opportunities to compete that WDAA offers her as a Physically Challenged Rider. Her goal for 2024 is to encourage more participation by Physically Challenged and Therapeutic Riders. You will see her in the dressage ring riding her horses, SAS Love Commander, a 10 year old 1/2 Arabian 1/2 AQHA gelding and Clyde, a 7 year old Clydesdale gelding. Teresa is a lifelong Ohio resident that began riding at the age of 5. She spent three years schooling hunter jumpers under the tutelage of Sue Black. While in college at Miami University, she began riding Dressage. She schooled with Alexandra Myers, Elaine Gibala and Lara Kernan. Unfortunately, Teresa lost her horse to colic and ended up taking some time off from equestrian pursuits before purchasing her Western Dressage horse, Stori. Teresa is currently working on her Western Dressage “r” judging certification.
